Eddie Torres

Directing credits include Native Gardens (The Old Globe); La Canción (Repertorio Español); Macbeth (The Public Theatre’s Mobile Shakespeare Unit); the California premiere Water by the Spoonful (The Old Globe); the world premiere of The Happiest Song Plays Last (Goodman Theatre); the world premiere of The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity (Joseph Jefferson Awards for Best Production and Best Director, Victory Gardens Theater with Teatro Vista) and The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity (2011 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play and Obie Award for Best New American Play, Second Stage Theatre). He is the cofounder and former artistic director of Teatro Vista, the recipient of a 2010 Arts Artist Award. He works as an Assistant Professor for the Practice in Theater at Wesleyan University.
