Application Procedure

Applicants for all programs should include:

A completed application form

A Resume or Curriculum Vitae documenting your administrative and artistic experiences

Two letters of Recommendation (must be submitted on original letterhead)

Personal Statement

Work Samples (Costume Shop, Sound, Stage Management and Properties positions) Work samples will not be returned to the applicant. Photocopies/digital images are encouraged.

Other Application Information:

All materials, including the two letters of recommendation must arrive together. Please do not send your packet without two letters of recommendation. We will not accept recommendations that arrive separately.

All applications should be single-sided and not bound or stapled.

All applications must be sent by the postmark deadline.

All applicants will be contacted within two weeks of the postmark deadline.

Phone interviews are available.

All applications will go through a preliminary screening process to determine the final candidates.

Candidates for The Apprenticeship and African American Fellowship who do not live locally are encouraged to visit both Chicago and Steppenwolf when interviewing.

Due to the volume of applications, we will not respond to unsolicited calls and e-mails.
