The African American Fellowship

THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN FELLOWSHIP is a two-year professional program for early career, African-American arts administrators. Through professional experience, independent and collective learning projects, mentorship and career-guidance, Fellows are given the tools to become strong, new voices in the leadership of the arts.

Each year, Steppenwolf Theatre Company will support two of the nation’s most outstanding and accomplished candidates as they begin their career in arts administration. Fellowships will be awarded based on academic accomplishment, demonstrated potential for leadership, and a commitment to a career in arts administration.
