Steppenwolf's three signature fundraisers are premier social events in the city, and raise important funds that support Steppenwolf's nationally recognized artistic, educational and community outreach programs.

2012 Gala

Hosted by the Board of Trustees and the renowned Steppenwolf ensemble, Steppenwolf's 2012 Gala will bring together over 500 civic and business leaders and 40 of Chicago's leading companies for an evening of celebration at theater. The evening promises to be a spectacular party inspired by our world premiere production of The March. The Gala benefit raises critical funds that provide invaluable resources for the ambitious work of our actors, directors and playwrights.

2012 Steppenwolf Salutes Women in the Arts:
an annual luncheon forum

The Women in the Arts Luncheon honors Steppenwolf's commitment to fostering artistic innovation and excellence by recognizing a woman for her impact in the theatrical arts. Steppenwolf's 2012 Women in the Arts Luncheon will feature renowned actress Julianna Margulies in an engaging and intimate interview with Steppenwolf's Artistic Director Martha Lavey. Nearly 250 female leaders will come together to honor Ms. Margulies for her diverse body of work in theater, film and television and to raise funds that provide hands-on training and mentorship for the next generation of arts professionals through Steppenwolf's Professional Leadership Program.

2012 Red or White Ball

The annual Red or White Ball is the premier fundraising event for Steppenwolf’s Auxiliary Council. This year's event will be held at Architectural Artifacts on Friday April 13th, and will draw in over 600 of Chicago's most influential young philanthropists. This unforgettable night offers guests the opportunity to eat, drink, and dance the night away with fellow Steppenwolf supporters and artists. Proceeds from the event will support the Steppenwolf for Young Adults program which annually serves over 15,000 individuals from Chicago-area schools and communities through productions and programs specifically geared towards young adults, teachers and families.

Unique Entertaining Opportunities

Throughout the season, Steppenwolf opens its doors to offer rare, exclusive entertaining opportunities on the set of Steppenwolf's state-of-the-art Downstairs Theatre or in its entertainment venue — the historic Yondorf Hall. Steppenwolf will work with you to design a showcase event that will meet your entertaining needs. The event, available for a contribution to Steppenwolf Theatre, could include tickets to a performance of a Steppenwolf production with a pre-performance reception or dinner, and/or a post-performance party with the cast, as well as an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Steppenwolf Theatre.
