Ora Jones

Biography

Ora Jones received a Joseph Jefferson nomination for her role in The Violet Hour at Steppenwolf. Other Steppenwolf credits include The Wheel, Three Sisters, Morning Star, The Unmentionables, The Crucible and Carter's Way. In addition to appearances at Goodman Theatre (Proof, Boy Gets Girl, The Beard of Avon) Chicago Shakespeare Theater (Henry VIII, Sunday in the Park with George, The Madness of George III, Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night, A Flea in Her Ear, The Merry Wives of Windsor and Court Theatre (My Fair Lady, The Misanthrope), she received an After Dark award for her role of Stage Manager in Our Town for Writers' Theatre. Film and television credits include Chicago Fire, Were the World Mine, Stranger Than Fiction, The Weatherman and Hellcab. Ms. Jones is a member of Actors Equity Association, and a Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble member since 2007.
