Tim Hopper joined the Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble in 1989. Past Steppenwolf appearances include The Night Alive, Russian Transport, The Wheel, Head of Passes, The Tempest, The Crucible, The Violet Hour, Hedda Gabler and Picasso at the Lapin Agile. He directed Buena Vista for the 2013 First Look Repertory, and Pursued by Happiness for the 2008 First Look. New York theatre includes appearances at Playwrights Horizons, New York Theatre Workshop (where he received an Obie Award for "More Stately Mansions"), and the Vineyard Theatre, among others. Television credits include Empire, Chicago Fire, The Good Wife, The Americans, Blue Bloods, Nurse Jackie and Grey’s Anatomy. Films include the upcoming Consumed, as well as School of Rock, Personal Velocity, Pipe Dream and To Die For.
