Fast Track: Master Teacher Workshop

Master Teacher Workshops are 2-hour courses designed to address state reading goals. Led by a Steppenwolf Teaching Artist, the workshops use creative techniques to improve student comprehension of literature, using texts related to our Steppenwolf for Young Adults season.

The House on Mango Street and A Separate Peace: Explore these complex stories with Steppenwolf teaching artists in a 2-hour dramatic workshop

Both of these classic texts are coming of age stories that delve into the complexities of adolescence and explore important themes of identity, community and responsibility. The Master Teacher workshops will investigate these ideas using creative theatre techniques that are directly applicable to the classroom.

The Fast Track Workshops will explore these questions and themes through a series of hands-on dramatic activities specific to 2008-2009 Steppenwolf for Young Adults Season.
