Gala 2010

Steppenwolf celebrated its 34th season with Gala 2010: Choose to Believe on Saturday, May 8, 2010. The “urban chic” event was attended by 600 guests and raised over $1 million for Steppenwolf’s artistic and community programming.

The evening began with a selection of scenes from Steppenwolf’s production of Samuel Beckett’s Endgame directed by ensemble member Frank Galati. Following the performance, members of Steppenwolf’s acclaimed ensemble led a promenade down Halsted Street, culminating in cocktails in a brand-new venue custom designed by Heffernan Morgan, Inc. Following the cocktail hour, members of the ensemble hosted dinner prepared by Limelight Catering. The evening continued with a live auction featuring once-in-a-lifetime adventures with Steppenwolf ensemble members. Gala 2010 wrapped up with dancing and musical entertainment provided by Steppenwolf co-founder Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band and DJ Toast and Jam.

The Gala 2010 Co-Chairs were Sarah Beardsley, Charles H. James III, David S. Kalt and Janet Melk.
