Gala 2007: One Night Only

Our prestigious black-tie Gala 2007, is the most anticipated event of the Season, and is dubbed “the best Gala in Chicago”. It is always oversold and attended by 700 of Chicago’s corporate, civic and cultural leaders. This years Benefit evening – GALA 2007: ONE NIGHT ONLY – is truly an evening you will not want to miss. Members of the celebrated Steppenwolf ensemble will showcase, in an exclusive evening of story and song, their extraordinary talents that we have enjoyed on the stage, television, and silver screen.

The evening will include cocktails, elegant dining, and dancing, plus our always popular and entertaining Star with the Stars Live Auction, in a glamorously decorated tent adjacent to the theater.

Our very popular and entertaining Star with the Stars Live Auction is staged with creativity and sophistication as a highly produced showcase for our auction items. The key to the success of our Live Auction is in offering one-of-a-kind celebrity driven, specialized auction items – which feature Steppenwolf ensemble members – just the sort of things money usually can’t buy. The Auction annually raises a minimum of 20% of the total gross for the evening.

Annually the Gala raises over $1.4 million in support of the theater’s artistic and community outreach programming.
