Multicultural Fellowship

Empowering New Leaders in Theater Management

The Multicultural Fellowship is a professional development program for early career persons of color interested in working in arts administration. Multicultural Fellows should be individuals seeking leadership responsibilities in addition to their departmental duties as required by the apprenticeship. Fellows should have an interest in participating in Steppenwolf’s ongoing dialogue about issues of diversity and equity. Through hands-on experience, independent and collective learning projects, mentorship, and career-guidance, Fellows are given the tools to become insightful new voices in the leadership of the arts.

Fellows participate in the Apprenticeship program as well as the Fellowship. The Fellowship is available in the following departments: Artistic, Casting, Development/Fundraising, Video Production, Education/Steppenwolf for Young Adults, Marketing, Literary, Production Management, Publicity, Theater Management.
