Synopsis

Sketchbook is a short play festival like no other. Each year Collaboraction guides over 200 artists through an exciting collaboration where 15-20 short performances of 7 minutes or less mingle with visual art and music. Every night a different musical guest creates a sonic environment before, between, and after the performances allowing each night its own unique experience. Throughout the space, contemporary visual art is installed and exhibited in dialogue with the mood of the performances. This unique Chicago production will, once again be led by Collaboraction’s Executive Artistic Director and Festival Director Anthony Moseley, as well as co-producers Sandra Delgado and Kimberly Senior.
