Shanésia Davis

Shanésia Davis, a member of Actors’ Equity, returned to Steppenwolf in The Glass Menagerie. Other Steppenwolf shows include One Arm and Our Lady of 121st St. Additional Chicago credits include Cymbeline (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), Drowning Crow (BTAA nom.), Black Star Line, The Ties That Bind Watermelon Rinds (Jeff nom., BTAA nom.), Spunk, The Visit and From the Mississippi Delta (Goodman Theatre), Permanent Collection, Bee-Luther-Hatchee (Northlight), Comfortable Shoes (Royal George—BTTA nom.), Othello, and Fuente Ovejuna (Court Theatre). Regional credits include Gees Bend (Cleveland Playhouse), The Syringa Tree and A Raisin in The Sun (KC Repertory), Intimate Apparel world premiere (Southcoast Repertory—NAACP Image Award nom., Centerstage Baltimore), Goodnight Desdemona Good Morning Juliet and Hamlet (San Diego Rep.), and Spunk (Penumbra Theatre). Film and Television credits include Damaged Goods, Morning Due (Cannes Film Festival ‘08), The Weatherman, Uncle Nino, The Last Word ( Life Sentence), Chicago Cab (hellcab), With Honors, Early Edition (series regular), Missing Persons, Gabriel’s Fire, and Making a Case for Murder: the Howard Beach Story. Ms. Davis teaches theatre as adjunct faculty at The Theatre School, DePaul University.
