Ann Wrightson

Ann Wrightson has a distinguished design career in Regional and New York theatres for the past 25 years. Recent work was seen in Intimate Apparel and The Man From Nebraska for Steppenwolf Theatre, Royal Family for Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Heartbreak House for the Berkshire Theatre Festival, a new musical, Five Course Love for Geva Theatre and Pride and Prejudice for Indiana Rep. Her work has also been featured at the Guthrie, Cleveland Play House, the Kennedy Center, the Alliance Theatre and the Long Wharf. The production of The Magic Fire at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival won her a Garland Award from Backstage West and in 2002 she was nominated for a Leon Rabin award for Best lighting design for Blues in the Night at Dallas Theatre Center. Her New York designs have been seen at Manhattan Theatre Club, American Place, Playwrights Horizons and she designed the original A...my name is Alice at the Gate. Past summers were spent as lighting designer at the National Playwrights Conference in Connecticut and TV work has included Cable's Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher.
