James F. Ingalls

James F. Ingalls has designed the Steppenwolf productions of after the quake, The Pain and the Itch, The Violet Hour, Purple Heart, The Royal Family, Closer, Valparaiso, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, As I Lay Dying, Nomathemba, Molly Sweeney and The Road to Nirvana. Goodman productions include Dollhouse, The Beard of Avon, House and Garden, Cry, The Beloved Country, The Good Person of Setzuan, The Three Sisters, The Night of the Iguana, Black Snow, The Iceman Cometh, Martin Guerre and Galileo. Recent projects include Tristan und Isolde (Paris Opera), David Mamet's Romance (Mark Taper Forum), John Adams' Doctor Atomic (San Francisco Opera), Ainadamar by Osvaldo Golijov (Santa Fe Opera) and L'Allegro il penseroso ed il moderato (Mark Morris Dance Group). Mr. Ingalls is the recipient of the Joseph Jefferson and the Merritt awards. He often collaborates with Melanie Rios and the Saint Joseph Ballet in Santa Ana, CA.
