We offer subscription options for everyone, including special subscriptions for seniors, teachers, students, and first-time subscribers. We offer special packages like our Dinner Theatre series as well as audio-described, open captioned and sign language interpreted series subscriptions. Choose from the list below. If you can't find what you're looking for call Audience Services at (312) 335-1650. We'd be happy to help.

**If you are a renewing subscriber changing your series, you will be seated in the best seats available. Please be aware, these may or may not be comparable to your current seats.

Preview Run

Previews are early performances of the play before the official opening when the director and designers can still make adjustments. Be a part of the shaping of each production and save money, too. Seniors receive a $10 discount.

First Time Subscriber Series

Maybe you've seen a Steppenwolf show or two before but have never joined us as a subscriber. Well, grab another theater lover in your life because this season we have an amazing First Time Subscriber Savings offer for our 2012/13 season! When you buy one subscription to any regularly priced series you get a second subscription at half price. That equals savings of up to $172!

"No Frills" Saver Series

For just $140 (that's only $28 a play) you can become a Steppenwolf subscriber. You'll attend on a Tuesday or Wednesday night with other like-minded, bargain loving folks - we pick the night and give you the best available seats. This popular series has made a mid-week night at the theatre a very special event. Exchanges and courtesy vouchers will be for Tue/Wed nights only.

Student Discount Series

Love world-class theatre but live on a work-study budget? Students of any age may purchase one subscription for $120 - that's $25 a play! Limit one subscription per student with a current and valid student ID.

Dinner Theatre Series

Join the Dinner Theatre Subscription Series and each time you enjoy a Steppenwolf show, you will experience a delicious 3-course dinner at some of the city's most acclaimed restaurants-all within convenient walking distance of the theatre.

On selected Sunday matinees, Steppenwolf offers an audio-described performance, pre-show touch tour and artistic conversation for patrons who are blind or have low vision.

Open Captioning

A service for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, open captioning features a text display of the words and sounds heard during a play. Placed near the stage, the LED display is positioned for optimal viewing by patrons sitting on the House Right side of both our Downstairs and Upstairs Theatres. Controlled by a captioner watching the play from the back of the theatre, the presentation of the text is synced live with the action onstage.

Sign Language Interpretation

A sign language-interpreted performance for patrons who are deaf or hard-of-hearing is scheduled for a selected Sunday evening during each Subscription production.

On selected Sunday matinees, Steppenwolf offers an audio-described performance, pre-show touch tour and artistic conversation for patrons who are blind or have low vision. Patrons participating in the audio-described series may also receive the playbill in Braille, large print and audio formats.

Discounted subscriptions of $120 are available for patrons who utilize our audio described services.
