Welcome to the new steppenwolf.org, a fully reimagined site that allows you to get closer to the artists, plays, and events at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. For over a year, we’ve been talking to audiences about Steppenwolf’s online experience, and hearing that you want a site that’s easier to use and offers more ways to engage. We’re thrilled to present THE NEW steppenwolf.org— a streamlined site with easier navigation, greater functionality, and more opportunities for us to connect with you.
While our whole site has a new look and feel, here are some of the most notable changes:
Faster Checkout We’ve saved all of our previous account holders’ billing information. Once you’ve selected seats to a show, we’ll take you directly to a billing page. Check that your account information is correct, enter your payment information, and you’re done in two clicks.
Anonymous Checkout Now, when prompted to enter your login information to buy a ticket, you can enter your email address under New User without creating an account. We’ll collect your billing and payment information without requiring a password, username, or anything for you to remember.
Easy Share On every Watch & Listen post and production page you can now share what you like on Facebook and Twitter, to keep the conversation going before and after you’ve left the theater.
Watch & Listen Our revamped Watch & Listen section combines video, slideshows, podcasts, and article content. It has the flexibility of a blog, but with greater technical resources, so that we can provide behind-the-scenes content to match your curiosity.
Ensemble Section The Ensemble section now has encyclopedic entries on each ensemble member, their past, current, and future productions, plus a catalogue of video, audio, photograph, and article entries to let you discover their work over the years. More new ensemble features will roll out soon.
In the months to come we'll be adding new features to our website. Here are a few to keep an eye out for:
1. Ticket Exchange
2. Chat Online with Artists
3. Additional Ensemble Content
